Selective Sync Conflict. How do we solve it?

I have a very light dropbox installation.

- Dropbox client installed on a windows 11 machine

- I've got 2x folders shared to this free account,, from a paid account with edit permissions.

- 1x Folder syncs perfectly, but the 2nd one has the selective sync conflict error in parenthesis

Troubleshooting performed:

- Made sure no folders were be "Not sync'd to the computer" from the Dropbox client

- Unshared the 2x folders from the paid account

- Created a new windows user account & deleted the old one.  I wanted to make sure any cached files were gone.

- Logged into windows with new user account that has administrative permissions

- Ran through the dropbox app set up, with advanced options.  Ensure that the path to the dropbox folder was new and unique to this user account

- Verified from the paid account that nothing was shared to the unpaid account

- Verified from the unpaid account that zero folders existed in the account

- Shared the 2x folders from the paid to the unpaid account

- Immediately the files began to sync and the error re-appeared. How cool is that! (Sarcasm)

I am not sure what else is going on.  Do I need to get into the registry?

Hey there, AURA Systems, welcome to our Community!

Great troubleshooting steps on your end. No need to access the registry as of yet.

Keep in mind, that Selective Sync conflicts happen, when you create a folder with the same name and location as an unsynced folder that you removed using Selective Sync. Have you checked your selective sync settings?

In this case, you may see that the folder has a gray circle with a minus sign on it instead of a blue syncing icon or green checkmark. Is this the case for you?

Have you tried renaming the folder, or some of the troubleshooting steps mentioned here

    Keep me posted!
