The Dropbox app won't launch on my PC

I had the same problem and didnât really want to have to re-install.
âOpen Dropbox upon startupâ was enabled but it wouldnât start unless I opened it manually however I did fix it without having to re-install:
- I turned off âOpen Dropbox upon startupâ in preferences.
- Shut down the computer.
- Restarted the computer and turned âOpen Dropbox upon startupâ back on.
- Shut down and restarted the computer and it launched like it should without me having to do it manually.
- Shut down and restarted a couple more times and it has launched every time.

Hi All, I'm having exactly the same problem. I have installed, uninstalled, reinstalled the app a number of times. However, I still can not get it to open. The revolving circle appears, and then nothing. Really frustrating. I have a brand new Windows Surface laptop.

Hey aptdhunter, sorry to hear that.
Do you happen to have any security programs, like an antivirus, VPN, firewall, etc. that could be blocking Dropbox from running?
If so, try to disable them temporarily, to see if it helps.
