The Dropbox menu shows under a different Dropbox path on my Mac, and not the one shown under "Sync".
Hey!
My dropbox files of a new account are located in the following:
And if i right-click on files, it doesnt show dropbox sharing menu (i've already check finder extensions).
Thing is, there is another a dropbox folder located under ~library/cloud storage/dropbox
And this one truly works (sharing menu, right-click, etc).
But this is an account from my previous work. I shouldn't have access to this anymore...
Can you please tell me what to do?

Hey mcboanova, let's see what we can find about this together!
That's odd indeed. Have you tried signing out of the app, and then signing back into it?
Also, what do you see if you hover your mouse over the little Dropbox icon in your menu bar, next to your WiFi? Is the app's syncing status "up to date" and what version do you use?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hi from me too mcboanova - thanks for the clarifications.
Could you send us a screenshot of the app's preferences to check the path of your Dropbox folder as shown in the sync tab?
Also, I'm not seeing any syncing icons in your files in Dropbox. Do you happen to be running any 3rd party apps that could be causing issues?

Hello. Sry, i'm not sure what you mean, Walter. Can you please check if those screenshots at my first post are the ones you need?

So, the file-path of your Dropbox folder is still the same after logging out and back into your account through the app's preferences, is that correct mcboanova?
Also, are you noticing any syncing icons in your files in either of those Dropbox folders?

Yes.
And it happen to be sync icons in these folder of an account i dont use anymore
and i dont think im using any 3rd party apps... can you give me some examples of some who might be causing issues?

Thanks for the update and the screenshots, mcboanova.
If you go to the "account" tab of the Dropbox app preferences, which account do you see linked there?
Does it show your previous job's account or the correct one?

It's the correct one.

Thanks for the update, mcboanova.
Basically, in this case what you can do is:
- Sign out of the Dropbox app
- Delete/uninstall the app and reboot your machine
- Check your files online to ensure that everything you want to keep, including updates, is backed up. If not, it might be best to keep a copy of the files you have locally
- Remove both Dropbox folders, if you don't need them
- Re-install the Dropbox app and have everything sync anew
Let me know how that goes.
