Have you installed the Dropbox mobile app, and does the Dropbox folder appear on the Files app on your iPad?
If not, could you confirm what version of iOS youâre running on the iPad, and what version of the Dropbox app is installed?
Thanks in advance!

This is a great question and a helpful response.
Since I do not normally use the Files app, I had not checked it. Sure enough, when I did, I saw that Dropbox was not enabled on Files. When I enabled it there, it appeared back in the Mail app.
i donât know why it went away, but this solved my problem.
Thanks.

- CShel6 years agoNew member | Level 2Iâve lost access to Dropbox files, too, on emails from my iPhone and iPad. How do you enable Dropbox on the Files app? Only choice is iCloud.
Cannot find App Files in Settings on my phone - itâs missing too.
All files are up to date
Please help; I need to send a customer a file- Walter6 years ago

Hi CShel; thanks for joining our discussion here and welcome aboard!
Based on your description, it looks like Dropbox has not been set as a location in the Files app on your devices.
Can you please open the Files app on your device and press âeditâ? Under locations you should see all available locations with Dropbox toggle off. Please switch this on and press 'done'.
After this is done then, please try again. You should see the functionality has been restored.
Keep us posted!

Hi Mia, what version of iOS are you running on your iPhone?
The iOS Files app is something that allows Dropbox to save files to the iOS device, at least temporarily, to use in other apps.
More information about this can be found here.
Let me know if this helps!
