Attaching files from Dropbox in Outlook mobile app doesn't show full results.
I'm using outlook app on Android phone.
When I try to add an attachment from Dropbox, (from going "Attach a file" then in "Other locations" selecting Dropbox) the list of files it shows me is not complete or matching the actual file structure in Dropbox. So I cant access the folders and files I need.
I have the Dropbox app on the same phone and can view and access all the files in there.
Is there a setting or something I'm missing in dropbox or outlook?

Hi zoe m, welcome to our Community!
Would you mind clarifying the OS version you have installed on your mobile, along with the Dropbox version that you have there?
Could you try disconnecting the app from this page and reinstalling it again?
Keep me posted!

Hi, I have One UI version 6.0, android version 14
Dropbox App version 376.2.2
I see on one of the pages you linked that POP/IMAP isnt supported, and the email account I'm using is originally a gmail account. Could that be an issue?

Hey zoe m, yes that could be the culprit there.
You could try exporting the file from the Dropbox app locally, and then attaching it to the email that way.

I've just tried it through the gmail app too and it still doesnt work correctly. But yes workaround is to locate the file in Dropbox app and export it and reattach it. Bit messy but it works. Thanks for the help.

Hey zoe m!
Would you be able to send me a couple of screenshots of the content you see on your end, when trying to attach files from Dropbox?
Also, when did this start happening?

In Outlook I see different folders when trying to open dropbox to attach file, which are not currentFolders shown to me when trying to attach from dropbox

Have you tried clearing the cache of both apps and trying again zoe m ?

I've deleted the search history in each app, I dont see a clear cache option in Gmail or Outlook?
I've just tried in the Outlook app, going "Attach a file" then "Device" instead of "Dropbox" , and under device it then allows me to access Dropbox with all the correct files showing! Why wouldnt it show in the dropbox option?
I've tried in the gmail app and can view and navigate to the files, but still get the same error message "Unable to Attach File" message.

Hey zoe m, if you haven't already, can you also uninstall-reinstall both the Dropbox app and your email apps, to see if that makes any difference?

Reinstalled Dropbox pp, no difference. Removed and readded email accounts but dont want to uninstall whole app as have several other accounts in gmail. No change.
