Daily DbxSvc ID 281 causing multiple daily bluescreen of deaths
Hi All,
I am running Dropbox on Windows 10 and am experiencing daily BSODs, usually 2-3. When I open Event Viewer, I can see Errors for DbxSvc with Event ID 281. The event details are as follows:

I have tried reinstalling the desktop app to ensure the app is up to date, but this has not resolved the issue.
Wondering if anyone is able to assist or provide me with some guidance?

Hi e_cormack, thanks for messaging today!
Are you receiving any actual errors from the Dropbox desktop application?
Do you experience any kind of performance issues?
This will help me to assist further! - e_cormack5 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Hi Jay,
Thanks for reaching out to me, much appreciated.
No errors that I am aware of from the Dropbox app. As for performance issues, none that I am aware of. There are no other events in Event Viewer that correspond to the BSOD.

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link? - e_cormack5 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Hi Jay,
I am on a Dropbox Plus plan. Two separate users spread across five devices - myself with desktop/laptop/mobile and my business partner on desktop/laptop.
I have just followed the steps you have provided with the advanced uninstall and reinstalled on my affected device. Prior to the uninstall I experienced two BSODs. I will provide you with an update tomorrow to see if I have experienced any further BSODs.
Thanks,
Evan

Same here. Tried complete removal of Dropbox and reinstall newest version from Dropbox website, 143.4.4161. Any help from Dropbox?

I followed the instructions provided by the support team, and still received BSODs. Completely uninstalled, edited my registry to remove Dropbox completely and then reinstalled and it has been working fine.
