Daily DbxSvc ID 281 causing multiple daily bluescreen of deaths

Hi All,   I am running Dropbox on Windows 10 and am experiencing daily BSODs, usually 2-3. When I open Event Viewer, I can see Errors for DbxSvc with Event ID 281. The event details are as follow...

Hi Jay,

 

Just experienced my first BSOD of the day - same issue, Error in Event Viewer DbxSvc with Event ID 281.

 

Any ideas on next steps?

My i7 64gb XPS Laptop has this error (has since beginning of pandemic after numerous -wipe -reinstalls

So does my BRAND NEW i9 128 GB ram Desktop Overkill build.  Hope to migrate to synology cloud since dropbox is constantly using so many resources (top 3 always)

 

Never BSOD - -- but always causing hangs and such - - - I've adopted the habit of only running the app to let it "SYNC" at night when I'm away from the computer because it drives me nuts to know that NONE of the errors are being "noticed" by the updated and current  dropbox APP itself - - - just windows dealing with them.

34 of them in last 24 hours . . . .

476 in last 7 days, and 2074 in last 30 days

    Same here. BSOD several times in a day. Dropbox Plus. Single user. Ver. 171.4.6182

    Hey TS55, sorry to hear about this.

     

    Could you please clarify your device's exact OS version and approximately how many files you've got syncing in your Dropbox folder?

     

    Also, have you tried troubleshooting steps so far, like reinstalling the app etc.?
