Dropbox moved Music Library, now Sonos cannot access it.

The latest update to Dropbox moved all of its contents to ~/Library/CloudStorage. I keep my music in Dropbox. I configure my Sonos music system to use my Music Library. Sonos can no longer access my Music Library following the move.

When I try to configure to use the new location, Sonos' browser finds the location in CloudStorage. But then it tries to establish permissions, and I get:

Sonos was unable to add the music folder.

The computer "iMac" refused to let Sonos connect to it.

Anyone face the same problem? Solutions?

Hey jkr97128, let's jump right into this!

So, based on everything you described, it sounds like the Sonos system has a restriction on how to access, and read files that are in the ~/Library/CloudStorage.

It seems like a restriction on their end, and since you have your Music files in Dropbox, hence that behavior. I'd personally suggest you contact Sonos Support, to see what info they have on their hands.

If you do, let us know. Thanks!

Worked a long time with Sonos tech support. They acknowledge this as defect, hopefully will work on it. My observation so far is that every other app I use that accesses what I keep in Dropbox (a lot, highly varied) made this transition seamlessly.
