3 years agoHey Nishukush, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
What is the status and version of the Dropbox app currently?
You can see this info, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.
Also, if you close the Dropbox app, do you get the same behavior?
Let me know what you find.

Hey Zone Studio - sorry to hear about this.
Could you let us know some additional information so that we can assist further?
For example, what is the OS version of the computers showing this behavior and the version of the Dropbox desktop app installed there?
Is this happening with online only files or files that are available offline on your computer?

I have this problem as well. If I unsync the video files and sync them back in - After Effects can't open them anymore - I get "After Effects error: Could not open source file. Pleace check that file exists with correct permissions. ( 86 :: 1 )". The only way they work is if I rename each file and relink everything - but if I name them back to their original names - I can't import them again. Tried cleared cache, restarting computer - doesn't work.
OS Version: 13.2
Dropbox version: v188.4.6302
Happens with the files available offline.
