Logic Pro files disappearing
I got a new macbook (M2) and migrated from my old macbook (2019 intel).
Initially I set all of my dropbox folders to online only so I could then manually select what I wanted to keep local.
I have always kept my logic projects in dropbox so I never have to worry about backing up.
For some reason some logic projects are disappearing from their folders. And when I sync locally they do not appear. Only the audio files, bounces, samples etc. folders remain.
If I go to dropbox.com the logic project file is there. But when I download it and try any open it, it says it cant be opened! (See screenshots)
I have a bunch of important work that I cannot access. What is happening here?

Hi doppyjoe, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Just for clarification, is this screenshot from within Finder, or the Logic app?
This will help me to assist further!

Do the folders that don't download to the machine contain data when viewing on the site?

Yes, This is how it looks on the site.
On the site I can see the logic project files.
As mentioned, If I was to download this from the site and try and open it, I would get the cant open error. And if I sync locally via finder, the project files do not appear.
I have also tried downloading just the project files and putting them in the folder in finder, then then I get a conflict error and it still does not open even if i rename it. Jay - Jay3 years ago

Could you attach a screenshot showing the local files in Finder and the version that appears on the site?

Sorry to jump in here, doppyjoe.
If you manually right-click on a folder and mark it as 'available offline', can you then open it and the files inside?
- doppyjoe3 years agoHelpful | Level 5Hannah I’ve already mentioned this in my previous messages. When I sync locally the files do not appear.

Sorry to jump in too, doppyjoe.
Out of curiosity, when did you start having this issue exactly? Were there any updates on your device/Dropbox app/Logic Pro app right before the issue occurred? Has this been happening, in general, since getting your new Mac computer?
Do you have any other Logic Pro files outside Dropbox that can be opened with no issues at all?
Finally, what's the app version and syncing status of your Dropbox app at the moment? Is your local Dropbox folder located in ~/Library/CloudStorage?

Nancy Hi,
This issue started when migrating to the new mac.No issues with any other logic projects in or out of dropbox, only the ones that have disappeared (see image with folder '06' for example).
I had the latest version of dropbox on my last mac, but for some reason when migrating to the new one from that backup I seem to be back on the version of dropbox before that update.
I've not updated it as I do not like how the update was randomly changing files to online only without my permission and would no longer allow me to access logic file via the 'recents' section when right clicking on the app.
But I imagine you're going to suggest to do the update? ; D
