Newly-added Dropbox files don't show up in Cryptomator vault; is this a syncing issue?

Hi, everyone.

I think I'm having sync problems with my Dropbox, but I can't figure out what the issue could be.

I store my files in a vault in Cryptomator, but whenever one or more new files are being added, the only way I can see them is redownloading the whole project folder from Dropbox and reinstalling the vault in Cryptomator.

Could this be a sync problem? My OS is Windows 11.

I hope some of you can help me with this issue. Thanks.

Thanks for posting on our forum today, Massi Sacchi

As a first step, can you check your Dropbox account online and your desktop app, if you have it installed, to make sure all of your files can be found there?

If everything looks alright on Dropbox's end, then I’d suggest checking this directly with the support team of Cryptomator, in case there’s an issue with the integration between the two services.

Let me know if you need further help after that, though.

    Hi, Nancy.

Thanks for the reply. Everything looks fine on my end and the files are all here.

I would doubt that it's a compatibility issue between the 2 software, as I'm the only one in a rather large team to have this problem, that's why I thought there may be something wrong with the sync.

In any case, I'm also contacting the support team at Cryptomator to see if I can find a solution, as this situation is driving me mad :-|

    Thanks.

I see what you mean, and thanks for updating me!

If you check this with Cryptomator, and you still need assistance after that, feel free to give me a nudge here.

    Thanks, Nancy.

I appreciate your offer. I'm writing in the Cryptomator community right now, and if I don't receive any helpful reply there, I may well use your kindness and expertize.

    Have a great evening

Hello, Nancy, and hello to anyone who may be interested in seeing how my issue is developing.

I could not find a solution to my problem, but I noticed that I regularly receive notifications when some other members of the team add or removes files to a folder/project in a Cryptomator vault.

So, to recap: I see notifications, but I don't see newly-added files in my Cryptomator vault, and if I add a file myself, other members of the team don't see it. It's like my vault is not linked to Dropbox, and the only way to update it is to reinitialize it with the Vault or Masterkey file I download anew from Dropbox.

I really hope you can suggest a solution, Nancy.

    Have a great evening
