Why can I not restore my backup on to my computer? I have to download individual folders and in some cases it will cry and complain and say it cannot download because a folder may have too many files. Is there no better way or am I stuck downloading folder by folder. I like the feature but if the restoration process is like this, then wow. Its tough. I hope someone has some insight on how to proceed.106Views0likes7CommentsI'm new to Dropbox, how do I sync data from one tablet to another?
Device Samsung tablets Operating System/Browser (if using the web) android Question or Issue Ive been introduced to Dropbox by an app I use called songbook pro. I use the app on two similar Samsung tablets. Both installations refer to the same account with the same name and password. I need to have an exact copy of the app data in both devices as a standby in case one device fails. I can copy the data from my 'master' tablet to dropbox but I'm not able to restore (the term used by the app) the data into my second device. I'm 82 so please treat me as a child of 10 when describing the solution. Thanks.60Views0likes1CommentMoving Google Drive Files to Dropbox (with a team account)
Hello, I need to bulk transfer our organizations files from Google Drive to our Team Dropbox account. I saw the article where you can do it as a personal user, but is there a way to move the files without downloading them to my computer than uploading to Dropbox?799Views0likes3CommentsI'm seeing a weird exclamation mark next to Dropbox on Xmind on my iPad.
Hello, My Dropbox app on iPad is not syncing with my Windows 11 desktop. For example, when I open a mind mapping software that I use (Xmind) and try to open a mind map that I saved in Dropbox desktop: beside the Dropbox icon, there is a circle formed by two arrows with an exclamation point inside of the circle. I cannot find any information in Dropbox support files on this specific icon. I am guessing it is indicating some sort of sync issue. I would appreciate your instruction and help for this Dropbox newbie. Thanks much! DaveSolved512Views0likes16CommentsUploading Microsoft Files from iPad Pro gets stuck on "upload pending".
Hello, I opened a Microsoft Excel file from the Dropbox app on my iPad Pro and I saved it after I made changes and it will not upload the new version into Dropbox, it just says "Upload Pending". I tried deleting the Dropbox app and deleting the Excel app off the iPad and I tried turning it off and back on and I also tried switching to a different network and nothing has worked so far. Please help! Thank you!3.4KViews1like6CommentsCan I change per-file permissions when using SSH certificates?
Until now, I've been syncing my SSH certificates in Dropbox. However, since a couple months ago, everytime I open the app I see this message: If I click "Give permission", this will grant read access to my certificate files, and the next time I try connecting to SSH using that certificate I will get an error and will have to manually remove the permission. If I click Cancel, I will get again this same message the next time I open Dropbox. My feature idea is having a more specific message that let users know which files have permission issues, with a way to just reject the permission changes and adjust the selective sync accordingly. The current way is a bit too uninformative and probably breaks systems for many others.84Views0likes1CommentNewly-added Dropbox files don't show up in Cryptomator vault; is this a syncing issue?
Hi, everyone. I think I'm having sync problems with my Dropbox, but I can't figure out what the issue could be. I store my files in a vault in Cryptomator, but whenever one or more new files are being added, the only way I can see them is redownloading the whole project folder from Dropbox and reinstalling the vault in Cryptomator. Could this be a sync problem? My OS is Windows 11. I hope some of you can help me with this issue. Thanks.215Views0likes6Comments
