Solved

There's no option to remove the Dropbox for Outlook add-in on Windows 11.

Hello,

I'm trying to remove "Dropbox for Outlook" Addin from Microsoft Outlook (new, lite version) running on Windows 11.

It should be as easy as clicking "Remove" from the "Manage your apps" setting, but it's missing for the Dropbox add-in.

Desktop version of Dropbox used to be installed, but was uninstalled.

Looking forward on any advice on how to remove it.

Thanks

  • Hi Jay,

The URL from the Step 1 of the linked article renders the 404.

I also went to https://admin.cloud.microsoft/ -> Integrated Apps, and removed "Dropbox for Outlook"

to no avail. Dropbox is still in Outlook

Scratch that - it took few minutes for Outlook to reflect the change on Microsoft 365 admin center. It's gone !

    Thank you both

Hi tsw, could you try removing the Dropbox for Outlook integration from the Microsoft App source site, which is linked in Step 1 in this article?

Hi Nancy, thank you for the quick response.

Yes, that’s the add-in. However, I’m not sure whether the first article you shared refers to classic Microsoft Outlook or the new Outlook. In any case, I followed the steps and disabled all apps, including Outlook, so the only one still active is this community forum

Despite that, the add-in still appears in Outlook.

Hey tsw! Thanks for posting on our forum today.

So, from what I understand, you're unable to remove this add-in. Correct?

If you follow these steps instead, are you able to disable it via www.dropbox.com?

Let me know how it goes.
