Thanks for posting your question to our Community, Measle.
Indeed, this promotion with Adobe does exist, however, it cannot be redeemed if you're already on a Dropbox Plus subscription, just like the error message mentioned.
It works for existing users, just not the ones that have already purchased their plan.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I did some digging on my end, and I'm afraid that it seems our Adobe promotion is no longer active, and has expired mid-October.
If you need further help, let us know.

I find it hard to believe the promotion ended mid-October as I originally signed up thinking I had used the discount code successfully on October 6th.
From all the other replies on this thread, it all points to deceptiveness from Dropbox. We’ve been duped and this promotional code never worked.
The worst tactic about all this, is you leave Adobe after following the offer link thinking that the sales page you land on has the 50% discount applied automatically, yet when you check the Dropbox homepage, the pricing is the exact same that anyone could get, regardless of the offer.
My trial ends November 6th, there’s no way I’m committing to a year of this. Staff here haven’t really helped anyone with their matters, and the customer ‘service’ just sends people round in circles until they eventually give up. Honestly surprised at this. Thought this would be an elite service for the subscription price.
