Lost access to subscription and files after account deletion
Sure! Here’s a message you can post in the Dropbox community:
Subject: Urgent: Lost Access to Subscription & Files After Account Deletion
Hi everyone,
I really need help. I had a Dropbox account on my PC with one email, but I also had another account with a different email where I purchased my subscription. Unfortunately, the account on my PC was deleted, and now I can’t access my files or my subscription.
Right now, my PC is logged into the deleted account, and I can’t access my actual paid subscription. I don’t know how to restore access, merge everything, or move the subscription back to where it belongs. I’ve tried everything, but I’m getting no real help, and I’m panicking because I had a lot of important work saved.
Is there any way to recover my access, transfer the subscription, and get everything back in order? I feel like I made a mistake, but I really need to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hi Esa Vokshi, sorry to hear about this.
When you say the account on your computer was deleted but you're still logged into it, can you elaborate a tad please? How and when was the account deleted exactly? Have you tried logging into your upgraded account by any chance? Are you getting an error if you do?
Also, when you say you tried everything, can you let us know more about any troubleshooting steps you might have taken so far?
Thanks!

Hey Esa Vokshi, thanks for the update here.
Can you let us know what you see when you try to open your files from your Dropbox folder? A screenshot of any error message would be really helpful.
And if you open a web browser, go to dropbox.com and try to login to this account with your email and password, what do you see?

I want to pay for my Dropbox every month, but my emails have gotten mixed up. [removed] and [removed] and neither of these accounts have these folders in them. Right now i am using [removed] and there's none of my data there anymore. I don't want to pay for anything if my stuff is lost and i haven't found a solution as of today. Dropbox is really very complicated, even with the team etc. totally weird system. Now my data is with someone else who invited me to the team. In any case, it doesn't matter to me I need this data.

Hey Esa, just to make sure I have this right, do you mean that you were a member of a Dropbox team and lost access to your account and files, when the admin removed you from the team?
Because you mentioned that the person who invited you to the team now has your data.
If this is what happened, then the admin probably transferred your data and deleted your account.
Have you contacted this person to ask them to share the files back to you?
