Need to cancel an old employee's account, but don't know the password to access it.

Hi!

I need to delete the account for an employee that left due to some family issues. Before leaving us she forgot to get her subscription canceled and now we cannot access her account or email to cancel the subscription. We're paying $120/year for an account we cannot access. Is there anyway I can get this subscription canceled? I have the email address it is under, but again her email has now been closed. So I cannot even do a password recovery to get in.

    You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

     

    Where it asks for the account email address, be sure to enter an email address that you have access to so you can receive the replies. You can enter the actual account email in the Other Details section further down the form.

    Hi NW2025, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

    As this is related to sensitive billing info, I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail.

    You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into any account, and accessing this link, choose 'Other' and then put in an email address that you can access, followed by your billing info.

    Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response sent via email in a few minutes, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system.
