Wrong Date of Birth
Hello I have wrongly entered my date of birth today what should i do?
- 3 years agoHi everyone đđœJumping in here to help clarify some issues youâve pointed out in this thread. As mentioned before, if your date of birth doesnât meet the age requirement for Dropbox, your account will be deleted in 48 hours, and youâll receive an email and a notification confirming this. Read more here. The age requirements are:
- In the United States: You must be 13 or older.
- Outside the United States: You must be 16 or older.
If you added the wrong date by mistake:
đ Please contact support so we can manually verify your date of birth and edit it for you:If you have access to email support:- Contact Dropbox support within 30 days to have your account reactivated.
- Our support team will ask you to provide proof of your date of birth.
- After your information is verified, youâll be notified through email when your account has been reactivated.
If you donât have access to email support:- You can contact support from an incognito/private browsing window and submit a help request. Click Canât sign in? then select an account access issue, for example: Disabled account, Subject: Incorrect date of birth.
- To speed things up, please attach one of the following docs to your inquiry, so we can verify the correct date:
- Birth certificate
- Passport (the page containing your name and date of birth)
- Driverâs license, learnerâs permit are acceptable forms of proof of age
- Any official government document issued by a national agency or equivalent is acceptable. Note: please do not upload any of these documents through the community forums.
- Our team will verify this info and make a change if accepted.
Hope this helps!Sam

While upgrading to a new subscription I entered a wrong birth year. The system now tells me that my account will be locked in two day.
How can I fix this?

3 years agoYou need to contact support: www.dropbox.com/support. I'd also suggest making a backup of your data just in case the account is closed.

I checked that of course. The link sends me here:
The chatbot doesn't lead me anywhere. I always end up with the information of contacting support.
The community leads me here.
As I understand it I have to verify my age to the support team. The question is: WHERE can I do that?
