How do I get rid of the File Explorer extensions that keep showing up.  I have no use for them and they just take up space:

Dropbox doesn't have an option to remove the context menu entries. There are unofficial ways to do it, mentioned in these forums, but they'll return the next time Dropbox is updated.

It would be an easy fix, that has been requested numerous times over the years, so it probably won't be changed now either. Since it is annoying that dropbox clutters up the context menu without your consent, I do hope they listen to you.

Thanks for the update.  That seems like a pretty reasonable request for a future enhancement.  After being a software engineer/project manager for 45+ years before my retirement, it doesn't strike me that adding a checkbox to the "Settings" panel to disable "context menu entries" would be a difficult task.  But thanks for the reply.

Hey ColoMtnWoman - thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday from me.

I just wanted to mention that Rich is correct here - there's no official way to achieve this at this time, but please feel free to share your thoughts in the Ideas section so that other users can up-vote your suggestion and/or  share their own thoughts as well.

Let us know if you have anything else to add or ask in the meantime.
