Changing dropbox email, requires reindexing of entire dropbox.
I have a 1.5TB drobox filled with millions of files.
I have had to change my email once and it was a nightmare. Dropbox needs to be signed out of, resigned back into, and to do this requires dropbox to re-sync and re-index all the files. During this process many files become unavailable, sometimes for hours at a time.
Guys I like you, but you need to fix this.

Hi triangle4, and thanks for posting here.
Upon updating your Dropbox email address, did you select any option to sign you out of all your linked devices and browsers perhaps?
Let me know, and we’ll take it from there.

However, the Dropbox app for PC does not reflect the change of email, which makes a person very uncomfortable. If you have discontinued the email address like I have, then the email change not reflecting in the app means that I (the user), am unsure if the change took effect and I soon will no longer have access to the email. I am also unsure at this point if the account will work correctly because I (the user), dont understand the back end of dropbox. My thoughts at this point are:
Will it sync correctly with the wrong account logged in?
Will I lose data if I sync to this account without the new account being logged?
Is the new account logged in?
Is it just a display issue?
Did the change not work on my pc?
As a result I logged out and logged back in with the new account email to make sure I dont have any sync issues. I feel that all that is needed is to update the email to reflect the change on local devices. - Nancy3 years ago

Let’s take a closer look to see if the updating process was completed successfully.
When trying to update your email address, did you do so by following all of the steps described here?
At the end of the process, did you also verify your new email address by logging in to it and clicking on the "Verify your email” option?
- triangle43 years agoExplorer | Level 3This is the second time I have changed emails. Both times the emails have been fully changed in both browser, and on mobile.
Emails both times have been properly verified and confirmed.
The change does not reflect on the pc app. - Hannah3 years ago

Sorry to jump in here, triangle4.
When you change your email address, your connected devices should show this change automatically, so this is kind of strange indeed.
Did you restart your computer after changing your email address, to see if that helps?
