I disbanded my Dropbox team and now I can't access my separate Plus account.
I run a small 4 person office was paying for 5 licenses. I was the only one using Dropbox. To save some money I investigated my options, since I am also paying for a Dropbox Plus personally. I was a...

10 months agoThanks for the info jencoleslaw, let's see what we can do together about that
Have you tried signing out of your Basic account using the desktop app, and then signing into your Plus one?
Before signing into the Plus account locally, make sure to sign in on the website with the same credentials first.

There is no option for me to log out or quit the basic, and then log back in with my plus account. The only choice in the desktop app is QUIT. Even when I am logged in on my Plus account online, when I launch the desktop app, it just defaults to the basic. And then if I navigate away from the website , it also defaults to basic there too. Basic is overriding everything.

Hey jencoleslaw!
Can you access your app's preferences, and head to the Account tab?
Feel free to send me a screenshot of what you see there, just make sure to redact any personal info shown there. Do you have the option to Sign out?

Ok. I think I was about to finally force it to login to my Plus account by literally reinstalling the app, but of course now I can't see any of my work files but I am less worried about that because I had them backed up. But is there no way to have two dropboxes like I used to? I guess I should just put them in my plus account if I want them to sync?
PS thank you for your help today. 🙂- Nancy10 months ago

Hey jencoleslaw! Hope you don’t mind if I jump in.
If you want to pair your two Dropbox accounts like before, then one of them will need to be on a Dropbox team indeed.
So, what you can do is merge everything into your Plus account and have all of your files in one place.
