...and, no, I am not on this page when I am trying to make the change, I am directly in my dropbox account, not on the forum

2 years agoHey Lsballew, is it possible that the email you're trying to use, is already used by another Dropbox account?
Try logging in with that address and request a password reset; if a password reset email comes to that address, it means it's already linked to another Dropbox account.
