Can't login
Ive been using my free Dropbox account since years, both on my laptop and my mobile phone. After a Windows update I suddenly can't access my Dropbox account on my laptop, using the same login credentials as my mobile phone has for it's Dropbox application. The 'forgotten password' option doesn't work because I don't get any confirmation emails in the same email account I use for Dropbox. And that means no email at all, even after checking spam folders etc. This way I'm stuck without a working Dropbox application on my laptop, retrieving passsword doesnt work, contacting Support is IMPOSSIBLE without signing in with your original email account you registerd Dropbox with in the first place.
How on earth do I get my photos back on my laptop with it's Dropbox app?

Hey JA35, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please let me know if you're getting any particular error when trying to log into your account on your laptop via the Dropbox desktop app?
Are you able to log into the account normally through a web browser?
Any additional information or screenshots are more than welcome!

Hello,
I cant login and if a ask to send a email because a maybe forgot my password, i dont goet a email also not in my spam mail.
My email that i usage for dropbox is [personal information removed per the Community's Guidelines]
I usage that email fot many years and now i cant do nothing.
On my phone i dont have a problem but on PC i can not login because i dont get a email.
So no dropbox on laptop π
And i please want to login again π

Hey JA35, are you on a Dropbox Basic free account?
If you go to your account settings here, do you see the laptop as one of your connected devices?

Hello,
Yes i have a basic free account, but when i go to Here than i see my account JA35 and not my real account.
And why are we speak englisch?
Because when i am in Here everthing is in Dutch, what my real language is π
I want my old account back where my foto's are and that is not this account, because i can not reset my password because i get no email on my email,
while my phone works the dropbox app.
And i have now no dropbox instal on my laptop, so no connection, because i can not login, and if i can not back my old account
than i most look for another solution π

It sounds like you're logged into another Dropbox account, associated with another email address of yours JA35
Are you 100% sure that you're logging into the correct account?

For the ten times, i can not login wiht my real account, because i get no email to change my pasword and on my phone is the real account!!
So i dont have a dropbox on my pc because i can not login with the good email i normal usage, its just like my real emailadress dont exist after many years!
So i make another account so i can post my problem here!
No account no community!

Hi JA35, I understand how frustrating this is, and I'm here in order for us to find a solution.
However, let me clarify something: you mentioned that the account you need to access is already connected to your mobile, right?
I'm simply asking, because you later said that the email address doesn't exist, so I'm trying to be on the same page as you.
Can you access the email address? If so, feel free to try adding "no-reply@dropbox.com" to your email's contacts or address book and repeat these steps to reset your password.

Yes i have it on my phone the right account.
But the steps you show me, doesnt work, and try that for many times thats why i make another account for help.
So thank you for youre help but did does not work, sorry π
