Dropbox keeps claiming it can’t contact me at account email address
Over the past two weeks, I’ve started getting notifications from Dropbox claiming that it can’t contact me at my account’s email address and request that I update the account’s email as to not lose access to my Dropbox account.
Strangely, I can access the email account just fine, and the email account has not changed since November when the website SSL certificate ran out and needed to be renewed.
Does anyone know how Dropbox is checking the account email addresses? Best I can tell is they are doing something new and potentially buggy as this hasn’t happened before.

I've never seen such emails - and it seems strange that they are emailing you saying they cant email?!
Are you sure its genuine ones?

Yes, I'm positive that the emails were from Dropbox. Unfortunately, I deleted the emails, and can't grab the headers to show you the originating server. This (emails) has never happened before so I'm raising the issue to see if anyone else has the same problem. FWIW, it is a basic - non paying account, and is limited to just community support....
Also, I failed to mention that the same message as a notification appears in both the iOS version of Dropbox as well as the Mac OS version of Dropbox - images below with email address removed.

Hey CA_Lobo, thanks for reaching out to us.
If you go to your account settings here, do you see an option to update your email address?
If so, try re-entering the one you already have, but if these notifications keep coming, let us know and we'll look further into this.

Attempted to re-enter the existing address.... returns " Please choose a new email address." after entering the same email address and confirming it. So no go on that route.
Re: Notifications - there's only been two.. roughly two weeks - 14 days apart. If the schedule holds, the next one will be in 11 days.

Hmm, would it be possible to notify us if you get this notification/email again?
That way we can investigate further.

Yes... send me an email address to send it to privately.

Hey CA_Lobo - sorry to jump in here, but I just followed up via email so that we can have a further look internally.
Whenever you get the chance, please have a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there.

Got the email Walter, and as I pointed out to Hannah, the emails were deleted. However the iOS notification are still there...
