I can't access my email in order to get the 6-digit security code. What can I do?
I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer)
My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code.
I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do?
Thanks
It is very unlikley you will be able to access the account without access to either a device (mobile possibly?) with Dropbox installed already OR the email.

You will need to log a ticket with Dropbox while not logged in - even to here so try an incognito browser and use the option to get account support from www.dropbox.com/support.

So my pictures are somewhere over the rainbow ?If you haven't accessed the account since 2016, then yes, the account and everything in it would have been deleted long ago. Dropbox would have emailed you multiple times before deleting the account.

It's great to see Dropbox staff like you providing support to users. I understand the frustration of not being able to access your email to retrieve a 6-digit code. It can be a real roadblock.

Hello, unfortunately I can’t login anymore because my e-mail was deleted (but I perfectly remember my login), so I can’t receive the 6 digit code.
My files are still in Dropbox and I really need them - So how can I get them? Please help me, thank you! - Rich2 years ago

Unfortunately, if you're being sent a one-time security code and you no longer have access to the email registered with Dropbox, there's no way to access the account without having another device already signed in to the account to receive the code.
Your best option is to contact your mail provider and see if they can restore your email account so you can receive the one-time security code.

Hey jshaddad, sorry to hear about this.
Can you clarify what you mean when you say that you lost your files after the latest update?
Do you have any devices still connected to that account, perhaps?

Hello, I have an old Dropbox account that is tied to an old school email that unfortunately is no longer active. That specific account has sentimental videos that I would like to obtain. However, upon entering the email address and password it is asking for a 6 digit verification code that I am not able to access. Please help!

Hi ejayamey, welcome to our Community!
The 6 digit security code is used when you access the Dropbox account from a different location for security purposes, so without access to the email, things might be a little tough.
Do you have any old, connected devices that would help you see the files in the account?
If I were you, I'd also try to contact the email service provider and see if they can reactivate the address -even temporarily- so you can receive the security code.
I hope this clarifies!
- ejayamey2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Unfortunately I don't have any old connected devices.
I have tried re-enrolling to see if that will somehow reactivate the old email address & I will be able to access it but I am not entirely sure that will work.
If the latter does not work, is there no way around being able to access it? I know the email address & password, I just didn't realize I never transferred my personal files from that dropbox.
