I don't have access to my authenticator code after changing my authenticator app
I needed to change my authenticator app, now DROPBOX does not give me access with a valid verification code and chat is putting me in a loop not understanding the issue

The account wasn't accessed for several years.
If it wasn't a paid account, then the account would have been deleted long ago. If an account remains idle for more than one year, the account and all files within are deleted due to inactivity. Dropbox sends multiple emails to the email address associated with the account before this happens.

Use the emergency backup code you were given when you activated two-step verification. Once signed in, you can reset your verification method and set it up again.
