I received some suspicious Dropbox Support questions in a reply

Hi

We have had an issue with an account being compromised and have contacted dropbox support. They have a comeback via email with a list of questions which look suspicious to me and wanted to check with the community if this is normal. Below is the screenshot.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi SliderUK, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

These are the normal questions that are requested by Dropbox support in order to verify an account.

Just for clarification, was the email sent from a Zendesk domain? What is your ticket ID so that I can locate it on the system?

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi thanks for your reply.

Having been victim of an attack, asking for specific information like, payment details (not sure why you would want first 6 and then request the last 4 accompanied by a billing post code), IP addresses and details of contacts seem suspect. Not sure what the community thinks?

    Anyway the ticket is #23410699

    Thanks

The details are requested in order to locate the account in question and verify it on our end.

I can see that the ticket is valid on our system. If you're willing to provide any additional information, please reply to that email from the support team.
