My personal files were deleted after my Dropbox account was disconnected from the team.

I had my personal Dropbox account long before it was connected to a business account for work. When the business account administrator removed me from their Dropbox, all of my personal files were deleted along with the disconnection.

I have checked the Deleted Files section, but it shows that I have no files to restore, so I cannot recover them myself. These files were entirely my own and unrelated to the business.

Is there any way Dropbox can help restore my personal files? I have a basic account so I can not email them.

    Adding a comment just to stress the importance of contacting the team admin quickly, within 7 days of the account deletion. After that, there's no way to recover the files. Dropbox cannot recover the account or the files. Only the team admin can do it.

    Sorry to hear this happened, Sclayboss​

    It sounds like your team admin chose to delete your Dropbox account indeed, instead of converting it to a personal one upon removing you from their Dropbox team. 

    Can you clarify how many days it's been since the admin deleted your Dropbox account and its files? 

    What we generally recommend, in cases like this, is to have your admin restore your Dropbox account (within 7 days of its deletion) and then convert it to a personal one after that with these steps. This way, you should be able to access your files again without being linked to your previous Dropbox team.
