Community ManagerImportant Information about Dropbox Paper: Moving to Web Only Access.
We’re making an important change to how you can access Paper. Starting October 9, 2025 the iOS and Android mobile and beta desktop apps will no longer available for download.
Why the change? We’re focusing on giving you the very best Paper experience on the web, making it easier, faster and more seamless than ever.
Here’s what you can expect:
- All your Paper documents will continue to be securely stored.
- You’ll be able to access your documents anywhere and at any time from paper.dropbox.com.
- You’ll no longer be able to download the Paper desktop app from the app stores.
With the easy-to-use Paper on web, you can:
- Work anywhere with seamless access across devices and browsers.
- Enjoy the latest features and improvements thanks to automatic updates.
- Write, edit, and comment just like before.
To get started, simply log in at paper.dropbox.com on your favorite browser.

Web access is working very well for me on my iPhone 16 so far. At first it seemed bad that the search bar at the top of the list of Papers is gone. But there’s a little box at top left that gives an alphabetical list. And text doesn’t turn yellow. Yay! There’s a tiny keyboard symbol that means “edit.”

Dropbox Paper via web doesn't work on android since it keeps popping up to open the paper file on dropbox's main/official app (not the paper app) which is not capable of opening paper files either. And due to that mandatory popup the browser on Android can't open the paper file using website either! I have tried uninstall dropbox official app. Browser on android still keeps popping up to open those docs in dropbox app.It's not good idea to discontinue the app without fixing the integration so paper on web app at least works on phones.
As a result, we are completely locked out of paper docs on Android phones!
