4 months agoHi everyone, this idea was brought to one of our development teams but, unfortunately, this is not something that the team can take on in the foreseeable future.
We appreciate the feedback on this matter on how to improve the Photos tab on the Dropbox site and app.

Hi Jay
I do appreciate the reply but it doesn't make sense that Dropbox's development teams have said no when your main competitors have said yes and given the much needed functionality to their platforms.
Keeping things simple - Why can't there be just two options:
Untick a check box to allow the "Photos tab" to index/show all picture files in the account holder(s) or sub user file structure.
Tick the check box to allow "Photos tab" to only index/show Picture files in the clients "Camera Uploads" folder.
This folder could be the end user(s) go to folder just for their photos which need to be viewed via Dropbox's photo app/website.
Doing this could possibly fix the numerous indexing issues when viewing photos via the Dropbox website - which you have to admit is very, very poor.
Can we have a top level general explanation on why Dropbox won't give us this basic feature please ... regards
