Dropbox icon opens Finder instead of app preferences on macOS Sonoma 14 M2

Hi Nancy, 

 

When I click on the dropbox app, it is the finder folders that are depicted that open rather than the app. Here is the screenshot of the menu bar.

Hi mgchappe, could you try quitting some of the other apps from the menu bar in order to view the Dropbox icon in the menu bar?

    I have PRECISELY the same problem.  No icon in the menu, and when I double-click the app, I just get my dropbox's finder window shown.  And yes, I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the app.  The app is definitely running: here is a screenshot from Activity Monitor:

    VERY frustrating.
