Hi Nancy,
When I click on the dropbox app, it is the finder folders that are depicted that open rather than the app. Here is the screenshot of the menu bar.

1 year agoHi mgchappe, could you try quitting some of the other apps from the menu bar in order to view the Dropbox icon in the menu bar?

I have PRECISELY the same problem. No icon in the menu, and when I double-click the app, I just get my dropbox's finder window shown. And yes, I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the app. The app is definitely running: here is a screenshot from Activity Monitor:
VERY frustrating.
