Installed DropBox on a clean Windows 10 computer. At one point, was running OK on Admin Account.

Hi @ElSid1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

The problem you're experiencing could be related with the level of access to the Windows Registry.

 

This means that Dropbox is attempting to access vital account information using your Windows Registry, but is being denied permission. If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, try using these steps in order to fix the issue. 

 

Keep me updated with any progress!

@Jay,

OMG, didn't even think about the 3 devices as I reformatted the drive. I went in and deleted all linked devices and ... unfortunately, can't test your solution as I re-reinstalled Windows 10.

I've accepted @Jay solution; however, I never got to the root of the issue. Just re-reinstalled windows
