Accessing folder shared to secondary email
Hello,
I have a paid account with a primary and secondary email. Someone shared an album with my secondary email, but when I try to open it I get a popup saying don't have access to the content. What did I do wrong?
Thanks!
Annie 😃

Hi AnnieZ900, Welcome to our Community!
Could you try opening the folder from another browser and let me know if you still get the same results?
In addition to this, feel free to send me a screenshot of the error you see on your end.
Thanks! - AnnieZ9005 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Hi Lori,
Thanks for the reply! I tried in a different browser, no luck. Here's what I see:

Thanks for the screenshot AnnieZ900!
Just to rule that out, you are certain that the invitation and the secondary email are spelled correctly without any mistakes, right?
Also, have you verified the secondary email as well? - AnnieZ9005 years agoExplorer | Level 3
I confirmed that the spelling is correct, and the secondary email has been verified.
I tried to create a new account with the secondary email (I know, that's probably bad!), and Dropbox said there was already an associated account. I tried to reset the password, but I never got a reset link emailed to either account. I can still log in normally with the primary account.
Thanks for your help, Lori! It's much appreciated!

Hey AnnieZ900, thanks for the reply.
Would it be okay for me to reach out to you via email, so we can have a closer look into this together?
Cheers! - AnnieZ9005 years agoExplorer | Level 3
That would be great! How should I share my contact info?
Thank you Lori!

I am having the exact same issue.
Were you able to get this to work?

Hi, I'm having the same issue. I have a secondary email setup and a folder was shared to that one. When I try accessing it, I get the error message that I need to request access with my primary email.

Hi carlosp, are you certain that they sent the email to the correct address? Does the shared folder not appear on this page on your account?
