I know this is probably a "noob" question, but here goes:

My Synology NAS has a software pkg that allows for it to sync selected folders with DB. So if I give this program access to my DB account it will upload and sync to a folder on DB. So far so good. I assume I can then log into DB and search this database. But how detailed an index will DB build? For example, will it index the contents of PDF's and word docs? That would be my principal use.
