Camera roll upload not distinguishing shared or personal iCloud libraries
Hi,
Wondered if anyone had found a solution to an issue with camera uploads.
I have an iPhone with a camera roll that includes both my personal library and a shared iCloud photo library with someone else's images in it. The automatic upload feature with Dropbox tries to upload both libraries (even if I select to view only my personal library in the phone's Photos).
Is there a way I can set it to upload only my photos?
Thanks,
Sheona

Hi Shospace, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
When you use the camera upload feature, it should only upload from your camera roll and screenshot folders.
Could you check the version history of one of the files to see which user and device uploaded the file?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,
Thanks for replying.
Yes I've now checked the version history, and the files are uploaded by me from my mobile - even though they are part of someone else's library which is shared to my camera roll (even when not visible in my camera roll).
At the moment, I'm just using the option to upload images taken after the feature was switched on - otherwise it tries to upload thousands of photos I don't want!
Looking at other threads on here about the camera upload feature, it would be so helpful to have more options about what files to upload.

Hi Sheona, and sorry for jumping in.
At the moment, I’m afraid there’s no way for the Dropbox app to differentiate the libraries via the camera uploads settings.
I’ve sent this though to our team as feedback for future reference.

Both my and my wife’s Dropbox are uploading tons of duplicated photos. Manually de-duping them is painful.
