How can I make sure all my files are syncing locally on my computer, before moving my drive?
How can I be sure that all files and none excluded are on my PC in their entirety?
I don't want the files to be stored only online because I have enough space on the hard drive. If I have to mov...

1 year agoHey GioSomma, thanks for your post and hope youâre doing great.
First of all, can you clarify what type of drive it is that youâre referring to? What drive is your Dropbox folder saved on at the moment and where would you move it later on, for example? Just so that I can provide the info you need.
To make sure all of your files/folders are available offline, you can right click on your local Dropbox folder directly and select the âMake available offlineâ option. Do you still see cloud icons next to your files/folders after that?
Finally, I want a screenshot of the "You have chosen to hide some foldersâ message you see in the app preferences.
Let me know when youâre ready.

In Windows 11, Path U:\MyCloud\GS-Org\Dropbox
For example the folder 0-Utenti (Cloud) and the folder ChiaviSSH (checkmark on a white background instead of green).

Hey GioSomma - thanks for the screenshot.
From what you mentioned, it seems that you're running a beta version of the Dropbox desktop app.
Could you check if the issue persists on the latest, stable version?
Just make sure to toggle off the early releases from your account's settings first.

Strange. I surely installed it by downloading it from the official portal.
Where can I find the version of what is installed?- Nancy1 year ago

GioSomma, before switching to the stable app version, can you also right click on the two folders that have a different syncing icon and let me know if the âMake available offlineâ option appears now?
You can also see more info on each syncing icon here.
Other than that, please note that the last screenshot you sent with the list of folders being selected under your Sync tab concerns another Dropbox feature called âselective syncâ, which is different to making your files online-only/available offline.
Finally, the U drive you mentioned in your previous message, is it an external drive perhaps? Have you moved the entire Dropbox folder there?
