I can't modify my files on my iPhone and iPad

Hello

The files on my PC are correctly loaded to my iPhone and iPad but they can't be modified (read only), even though I allowed modification when I shared them on my PC.

How can I solve this problem ?

Thanks

Jan-Pierre

How do you mean 'you allowed modification when shared to PC' JPCDB ?

Can you talk us through it?

    Hi again

The synchronization works fine when I update an Excel file from my PC. I can find the latest version on my iPhone and iPad. The problem is, even yhough I can open it on iPhone and iPad, I can't update them. It looks like this file is read only.

    Thanks for your help.

Hey JPCDB, I assume that you have the Excel app installed on your devices, right?

When you open the Excel file on the Dropbox app and tap the "open with" button (the one next to the 'copy link' button), what happens?

    Hi
I just open my Dropbox app on my iPhone
    Then all my files appear
I just tap on my Excel file to open it
I can read it but not modify it
Can’t find the option « open with »

Hi JPCDB, do you get a specific error when you try to edit the files? If so, could you send us a screenshot?

As for the option to open the file in a respective app, it would be on the bottom, right part of a screen while you preview the file. A little, upward sideways arrow. Can you check?
