No Time Info after syncing with WD EX2

No Time Info after syncing with WD EX2

Hi. I am recently started to use Dropbox to sync my photos at Western Digital EX2. Most of them are old pictures. Dropbox don't get time info so in app, all pictures are shown at the top as created today. It is so annoying. Can I somehow fix it?

Hey @Cengizhan_Bilgin, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

Can you give us a bit more info on how you added the files to your Dropbox?

Did you drag and drop them directly to your Dropbox folder from the external drive?

Any additional info on the process you followed, would be helpful.

Thanks!

Dear Hannah

Thanks for the reply. In WD EX2 device interface, there is a section allowing app installation and Dropbox app can be installed in the device. I have installed the app and logged in. Than it started syncing data from my WD EX2 device to cloud (Dropbox).

Hi @Cengizhan_Bilgin, is this an app created by WD for that NAS?  Can you see the app on this page?

Are you installing the Dropbox desktop application on an OS instead for files to sync across?

Hi. Yes, My Cloud Device is in the list.

I did not use desktop app to sync files because I could not find any program which is syncing directly from NAS to Cloud.

Actually app on device idea is so good. There are more than 2 TB data and I don't need to keep my laptop open for the upload process.

Hey @Cengizhan_Bilgin, sorry to jump in here, but have you tried uploading those files via the website instead of this third party app to see if their metadata stay intact?
