How. Can I control the photos that Dropbox offers when I ask to upload on my phone. It has picked utterly randomly, repeated, lost any chronology and is showing deleted files. What is worse is that other apps are now showing the same selection! Help please!

Thanks for the info, currently, it isn't possible to specify which folder you want to upload from, as the mobile app detects all images on your device.

As a workaround, you could try uploading via the Android file file system by choosing the images you want, and then using the send/share button on your OS choose the option 'Add to Dropbox'.

Welcome aboard the forum, @Franb1!

Can you provide a few more details on this? Are you using camera uploads to automatically add your photos to your Dropbox account, by any chance? Or are you having an issue when trying to download photos to your mobile device instead?

Any screenshots that you can upload of what you see on your end are much appreciated.

Keep me posted.

I asked for manual upload. This is when I click on upload and on files wanting to find a specific image in my phone. Hopeless task. The auto load has obliterated any semblance of structure in my photos. I don't seem able to opt out of this. In Instagram this is gallery, and is equally arbitrary and utterly useless, but at least I can opt for Camera, or Google photos or down loads etc. On the laptop it is only offering the internal picture storage , so I would have to download, file, open Dropbox, upload to get access. Thought it was meant to be easy.

Ps. How do I stop getting notifications for badges and patronising stickers. My primary school days are long ago, and I wasn't impressed then either!

Thank you for the appreciation but a solution would be appreciated too. It is making Dropbox unusable.
So far I have found a block of nine photographs, all exactly the same, photographs form other people that I have received in WhatsApp but never saved in any file, one random guy's profile pic, deleted photos, etc And now it is putting the photos I posted on Instagram for my job on the top of the list. I posted and then deleted the photos from my files to reduce clutter and yet here they are!! Unwelcome and obsolete!. I intended to use Dropbox for my personal textile art business but ..... Could you work with a system that does this?

Hey @Franb1, are you using an Android or iOS device?

And are you on the most recent version of both your OS and the Dropbox app?

App was downloaded that morning!  not sure about OS.  But is only having internal access to files on the laptop also 'normal'?

Would you mind clarifying what you mean by "is only having internal access to files on the laptop also 'normal'?"?

Also, can you send us a screenshot showing the issue, to help us get a visual?

If you can describe the steps you're following to upload the photos, I'd really appreciate it as well.
