Are the Files in the Recycle Bin just Backups?

Are the Files in the Recycle Bin just Backups? If I delete the Files within the Dropbox Recycle Bin, Does it remove my Files I've created in my PC?

As long as you delete files which are deleted on the website (ie. via the "Show Deleted Items" menu) then it wont also delete anything on the computer. But, two things to note, once these are deleted it is impossible to recover AND unless there is a need to do so I personally wouldnt bother - they dont take up any space or quota
