I deleted dropbox from my computer a while back. There were a couple folders that were shared to me and I can't delete them. It says I dont have permission.

Hey @jt01, I hope you're well today!

When you mentioned that you deleted Dropbox from your computer, are you referring to uninstalling the desktop app?

Were you able to delete other folders from the remaining Dropbox folders apart from these folders?

Finally, can you send me a screenshot of the error that you're getting when trying to delete those folders?

Let me know what you find!

Yes I had uninstalled dropbox because I added hard drives. I was able to delete everything except for these two folders that were shared to me.

Thanks for the screenshot @jt01!

It looks like the permissions have stayed with the folder after removing Dropbox from your computer. You'll need to change the folder permissions through your OS settings.

You should be able to do this through by right clicking the folder, choosing "Properties" and changing the permissions within the Security tab.

I found this thread from the Microsoft Support forum which has a bit more details on the steps you can try to do this.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!
