Recovering Deleted Files Not in Deleted Folder

Recovering Deleted Files Not in Deleted Folder

TF Office
Explorer | Level 3

Hi There,

My keyboard was bugging out and I accidently deleted a file from my DropBox Desktop. I logged into DropBox Online to recover the file, and it is not in the Deleted Files folder.

Where can I recover this file?

Thanks

Check your Events page to see if there's a deletion event recorded. If so, you may be able to restore the file from there. If it's not in your Deleted Files and there's no record on the Events page, then the file was likely never synced to Dropbox and wouldn't be able to be restored via Dropbox.

Hey @Pghtom, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community.

Was this folder a shared folder or just a normal non-shared folder in your account?

Do you see any events related to it in your events page?
