A Dedicated Photos App

Google Photo just annonced that thier free service is now gone. There is now room for a new player and since Dropbox is already one of the top used storages services for photos this would be an amazing fit. What I'm suggesting is a stand alone Photo app that gives users the posibility to brows view their Dropbox photos in one place. A few suggestions of features are:

* Automatic face recognition and categorization

* Search (places, objects, etc.)

* Map with all photos

* "Remember this day in photos" 

Personally I don't think it needs editing features to start with, but maybe down the line!

I believe that any application that is useful for a person is always good. And if there are reviews for different applications and ratings are created such as on the site [removed per the Community's Guidelines] then you can safely select options for yourself and not worry that something will not work.

I could not agree more.  This is a much needed service and Dropbox is the perfect platform since it already hosts our camera rolls.  Simple and intuitive slideshow with search options would be perfect !

If Dropbox supported facial recognition searches their search times would skyrocket, but so would the number of their paid users.  Those that want such a service would happily pay for search time or indexing.  Sounds like an easy win-win to me.

I would 1000% support a photo app if Dropbox brought back the ability to easily free up phone space after backing up photos on iOS. That was one of the best features of the app and it frustrates me to no end that I have to manually do this now.
