The email address in the account is not longer active and I am unable to get the 2 factor ID code
There is important information in the google account and I don't know what to do, as there is no way I can contact dropbox about it
Can you help please ?
thank you 🙂
Hi @charrua4, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Just for clarification, you don't have access to the email address at all? Is it possible to recreate the email address to your Dropbox account?
This will help me to assist further!

If you have set up 2FA then the only way to disable that is to backup codes to gain access to the account. Without that your account is lost I'm afraid.

Hi Jay and thanks for your reply
No, I cannot access that email address at all
not sure what you mean about re-creating the email address to my dropbox account
I have the dropbox account with this email address, as well as the one with the closed/deleted email address
thanks
Gladys
Thanks Mark,
the thing is I never set up 2FA, not at all
Gladys
Hey Gladys, I hope you’re doing well.
If Dropbox was to send you a 2FA code, then it would most likely be sent as a text message to your mobile device.
Since this one’s being delivered to your email address instead, is there any chance that you’re referring to the one-time security code instead?

Hi @charrua4, is it possible that you have any device currently connected to your Dropbox account, such as a computer or mobile device?

Hi @charrua4, I'm afraid that without access to your email address, we wouldn't be able to do much.
For security reasons, you'd need access to it, so the only way to go on about it, is to do what Jay suggested, and re-create the email.
