Hello, I have all my files online only, but when I need to work with them I usually right click the folder and click 'Make available offline' but that option is gone since the last big dropbox update. How do I get this back please? I can't work like this.

Hi, thanks for you quick reply. Shortly after I posted I found this thread that seems to solve the problem for now: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Create-upload-and-share/I-can-t-see-any-sync-icons-next-to-my-files-...

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey @steemansnick, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you please clarify your device's exact OS and send us a screenshot of the app's status and version as shown in your menu bar/system tray?

If you could also attach a screenshot of the options you get when you right click on the files in your Dropbox folder, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hi there! I saw that this user had figured out his issue, but when I looked at the directions it was based on a Windows operating system.

I have the same issue - I have random desktop files with 'online-only' listed next to them. When I right-click, there is no option to 'make available offline'.

I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've made sure that Dropbox has full disk access. I'm operating on a MacBook Pro M1, Ventura 13.1 and my dropbox version is v168.4.4802

I've attached an example of what I'm talking about. I want to open up the instrumental version of this song. For some reason, it's the only offline file in the subfolder. Over the years of using dropbox to back up my files, I feel like things have gotten messier and messier and it's harder for me to access older files. I'm looking into alternatives because this is taking up way too much of my time trying to solve these weird sync issues.

Thanks for your feedback here, @abbipress and sorry to see you're having trouble.

Can you tell me the current sync status of the app, as it appears when you hover your mouse over your Dropbox icon?

Thanks for this @abbipress.

Can you please confirm that you've also restarted both the Dropbox app and your computer ever since this started happening?

Hey @abbipress, sorry to jump in here, but could you try the latest version of the desktop app from this page and let us know if this persists?

If it does, I'd appreciate a screenshot of the options you get when you right click on your files in the Dropbox folder.
