Really hoping there is a solution to my problem!

So I have a film developing company that I use, which sends your developed photos to your email via a DropboxTransfer. I usually download the files directly to my iCloud file on my iPhone. Recently, my iCloud decided to delete some of my photos 😞 . I went back to email that he sent to me in an attempt to download the file again; but to my surprise I was unable to do so. The file stated "These files will be available until 6/10/2022 at 11:59 PM GMT-04:00". So, is there a way for me to have this time extended or renewed? (Or anything??) I am really desperate to have these memories recovered.

Thank you.

Hey @Nahome , sorry to hear about this.

I'm afraid that if the Transfer expired, you'll need to contact the person who originally shared the transfer with you in the first place and ask them to resend it to you.

I hope this helps!

If I share a dropbox file:

1. does the other person have to have a dropbox account to access it?

2. how long can a person access a file I have shared via dropbox (that is, if I DON'T set an expiration, will it be available forever?)

Thanks for any help!!

Hey @HONESTY Poetry, thanks for joining the discussion and happy Friday!

To better answer your questions, it'd be useful to know which Dropbox feature you'd be using to share your files in the first place. Would it be the shared links feature and the advanced settings on them or maybe you had the Dropbox Transfer feature in mind?
