I'm an idiot, how do i get rid of this black box/menu bar bottom of screen, it covers up part of my document and is annoying as hell.

Hey @billmcolo, thanks for joining our Community.

If you don't move your mouse while previewing the file, the banner will go away on its own.

Let me know if you have any questions!

This is incredibly annoying. I need to use my mouse to click on the bottom tabs of an excel file and the black box will not let me. Other than not touching the mouse, how do I turn this off?

There is no option to turn it off. The file you're looking at is just a preview of the original. Open the file in Excel (either online or locally) and the box won't appear.

I navigate a 'preview' of a doc all the time.  I never need to 'open' the file - I always can get what I need from the preview.  Pretty slick.  But the 'black box' keeps blocking what i'm trying to view.  Something needs to be done to enable the option to 'disable' the black box when you're strictly in reading mode, navigating a page with a mouse, scrolling the bar at the right, etc.  This just makes sense!

This is a "feature" designed by someone who never uses spreadsheets.  Dumb.  Just dumb.
