The ability to download a list of all filenames in dropbox as a CSV or similar

The ability to download a list of all filenames in dropbox as a CSV or similar

It would be really useful to have the functionality to be able to download a complete list of files held within dropbox, file sizes and their folders. It's essential for audit and data management purposes.

 

Currently it is not possible to pull a list, or even copy filenames, so that a catalogue can be created outside of dropbox. It is incredibly frustrating.

I’m wondering if using API can possibly help you in this case. Here are all the steps that you'll need to follow.

This link led to some code. Is there a way for a regular user who is not a coder and doesn't understand APIs?

Hey there @StudioGoose, I just wanted to mention that this is not possible without using our APIs at this time.

 

That said, I found this idea which you can upvote to show your interest in this as it kind of echoes the OP here.
