Editing PDFs in Dropbox from my iPad
I'm trying to edit/markup PDFs that I have stored in Dropbox from my iPad. I'm using an Apple Pencil that's capable of "markup." The adobe integration was meant to be the answer for this; however, Adobe is now charging extra for the ability to edit. Apple allows you to edit Dropbox PDFs nicely through files; however, this seems to be hit or miss as sometimes the files won't open or get re-directed to Dropbox. Are there other ways to edit PDFs from the iPad and have it sync with Dropbox? This would seem like it should be a top priority for an added feature. OneDrive, for example, has the functionality built directly into their app. Any help would be much appreciated.Solved39KViews9likes12Comments
iOS Files App Favorites Folder Disappear

iphone 6 latest ios in dropbox ios app (and on Mac Desktop), both my DB accounts show up. In mail, go to "attach file" and no DB accounts show up in Locations. In ios Files, no DB accounts show up in Locations. This happened last time there was a major ios upgrade, and we had to stand around while DB blamed Apple. 'Can not upload the file' error when attaching from Dropbox to Gmail on Android
When I try to add an attachment from dropbox to a mail in gmail, I receive a message in gmail "can not upload the file". This error occurs only on one smartphone with android 12. If I do the same , with the same dropbox and google account, on an other android phone (android 11 )or an android tablet, there is no problem. PDF files open as read only on Acrobat Reader (on Android)
I haven't had any problem editing PDF files on my Android tablet until now. I simply opened dropbox, and opened the PDF in Adobe Acrobat from dropbox. Lately, when I open a PDF in Adobe Acrobat from dropbox, I get an error message telling me I can only open the file read-only. This applies to all my files. Unable to open Excel files on Android Dropbox mobile app - Office login loop
Hi, I have a free dropbox account and have used it for years to store a few basic excel spreadsheets that I use daily. I have a paid Microsoft 365 account that I use on my android phone and lenovo laptop. For some reason the last few days, I am unable to open my dropbox excel spreadsheets on my phone. When I try to open the spreadsheet I get a log in page saying "Log in or sign up to Dropbox to link with Microsoft Office Integration". I log in using my dropbox user and pw and it just sends me to my onedrive. I have tried deleting the dropbox and 365 apps on my phone and re installing and logging in. I have tried to open the dropbox files by going into excel first and then trying to open the dropbox spreadsheet. Just always sends me to the log in page. It all works fine on my laptop, and after saving, my dropbox android app shows the newly updated spreadsheet. Dont know what has happened. Please help.10KViews4likes75Comments
Dropbox unstable in iPad OS Files App.
The problem I have is that Dropbox seems to crash when running on an iPAD via the apple files app. If I open an application that uses the files app, such as Pages or Final Draft, when saving to the Dropbox via the files app, it crashes the app and for the next 4 to 5 minutes if I click on drop box via the files app it just doesn’t load. Apple has confirmed this is a Dropbox issue (I raised it with them first), and I have not been able to crash the application(s) using Google Drive via files in the same way. Hi, I'm using Dropbox on my PC and iPhone, and storing some Emacs Org-mode files. These files have ".org" extension (e.g. "memo.org"), but its contents is just a plain text file. Only the difference is extension. Previously I could preview ".org" files on my iPhone directly, but now, I can't preview and recieve the error message "This file can't be previewed". Download a Folder to Android
This is SO frustrating. I have a real need to download entire folders to my android device. For some years I have used the FILE DOWNLOADER FOR DROPBOX from Play Store. I had to reset my android device and now I find the app is no longer available. No other third party apps seem to do this.
