If I send a link to one of my folders and the person via the link is taken to the opening page, they find they are confronted with a banner asking them to creat an account. One can clic outside of the banner and it disappears and they have access to the files. But a few people found the banner intimidating and figured they had to create an account and abandoned their attempt to view the files. Is there a way to turn this marketing off?Solved126Views1like9CommentsI shared a folder with someone but they cannot access the contents
Device HP laptop Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11) I just posted this but it's not showing up. I shared a parent folder with my VA for photos with 7 child folders inside it. She couldn't access that folder. So I shared one child folder with her and she can open that one, but doesn't see all the photos that I put into it. Both the parent folder and child folder show that they are "shared'. What's am I doing wrong? I can put screenshots if it would help. Thank you!Solved84Views0likes10CommentsMy files aren't being received by others.
I've been sending files for quite some time to different email addresses. Recently, my clients are not getting the shared files. It says in Dropbox that it's sent, even if I send it multiple times it says it's sent. I tried to send to myself as well and am not receiving the files, though I did receive a reminder email. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, etc. Samsung S21.Solved121Views0likes11CommentsI keep getting a warning that my content may contain phishing.
Hello. Every time I attempt to add new people to a shared folder, it won’t let me and tells me the files might contain phishing content, and the link to view the files isn’t working either. I need this fixed ASAP. Thank you.29Views0likes1CommentCannot remove sharing restriction from my Dropbox account.
I have received an email for the third time saying I have been banned from sharing for exceeding bandwidth limit. I had no idea such a restriction existed. I have a basic Dropbox account, but have built up a capacity of 13.2Gb owing to hardward deals I have bought in the past that has increased my allowance. I have used 8.31Gb of space, so loads of headroom. I only usually share a couple of folders with friends and this has worked continually quite happily for years. These folders are about 1.6Gb. For some reason I am now getting this ban for sharing. I have gone into Dropbox online and removed every old sharing link I can find; it has no effect. I cannot unban the account on the link, just get a message saying 'something's gone wrong. Contact support', which I can't do on the basic plan. Advice please on how to remove the ban and share within the allowance. Thanks!89Views0likes5CommentsPublic links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic.
I got an email saying This email is an automated notification from Dropbox letting you know that your Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic. Upgrade your Dropbox account today to increase the total amount of traffic your link and file requests can generate. For more information on suspended links, please visit the Help Center. Your current account bandwidth limit is 20.00 GB and your current usage is 21.19 GB. You may remove the suspension by clicking this link otherwise please visit the Help Center. I looked in my shared folder and I don't really have much in there. so I clicked on the link to remove the suspension and then three minutes later I got another email Your current account bandwidth limit is 26.00 GB and your current usage is 33.13 GB. how do I What links these are? I have a few shared folders but I'm not the owner of those folders my current usage is very small so I don't know where this bandwidth usage is measured or shown144Views0likes6CommentsYour sharing activity has been temporarily suspended.
Dropbox Plan Basic Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Hi everyone, I sent a DEM (direct email marketing) campaign via Pipedrive to about 400 contacts. In the email, there was a CTA linking to a Dropbox folder (shared via a public link). At first, the link worked correctly — but after a few hours, recipients started reporting that the link was no longer accessible. I’m using a Dropbox Basic account, so I can’t open a support ticket directly. The shared content was legitimate marketing material (a brochure and some media files), and the traffic came from the campaign — no suspicious activity or abuse. Could someone from the Dropbox team please check or help me reactivate the sharing feature on my account? I would also appreciate advice on how to manage traffic from campaigns safely in the future to avoid new suspensions. Thanks in advance for your help!73Views0likes3Comments
