Hey everyone! What a year! Iâve loved chatting with you all throughout 2025 - hearing your favourite Dropbox features, clever hacks and the all the ways you use Dropbox to keep life running smoothly. This community is really pure magic. Every week, you jumped in to help each other, share tips and celebrate wins. We had loads of Community Members of the Month, plenty of Mighty Answer badges and so many âaha!â moments. And the stories! From photographers sharing galleries, to coders syncing across Windows and Linux, to the person who who said syncing across threes computers and two homes was âbeautifulâ - you all really kept the forums lively, helpful and fun! One iPhone user was especially happy with the 2025 Live Photos update, which finally let them migrate their whole collection smoothly. It was made even sweeter knowing the feature came directly from an idea shared right here in the community. And, I adored hearing how Dropbox helps in everyday life, like the member who said: Weâve had our fair share of community adventures this year, but we made it through together and every time I got to say âI am glad to see your issue was resolvedâ, it honestly made my day. Last year we gave the Community a fresh new look and glow-up, and we really appreciate everyoneâs patience with the changes throughout 2025. Itâs amazing to see how far weâve come, and weâre even more excited for whatâs ahead. There are some fab new updates and improvements coming in 2026⊠so stay tuned! A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who got involved in conversations this year. Those who asked questions, those who answered them, and those who felt comfortable sharing ideas, frustrations, clever workarounds, and even honest feelings about Dropbox. And of course, a special shout-out to our amazing Super Users âŠyouâre absolute stars and this community wouldnât be the same without you. So thatâs it from us for 2025! Have a safe and happy time over the holiday period, and Iâll see you all in 2026807Views2likes0CommentsHow to access your Dropbox through TV devices.
Dear Dropbox community, I would like to share my latest project with you, namely Dropbox MSX. Dropbox MSX is a service that allows you to access your Dropbox files (i.e. videos, audio files, and images) through TV devices. It uses the Media Station X application for visualization and the latest Dropbox API to browse and access files. I hope you enjoy using it and I would be very happy to receive feedback and ideas for improvement. For screenshots and more information, please see the showcase Dropbox MSX on this page: http://msx.benzac.de/info/?tab=Showcases Alternatively, please have a look at this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T5XjKig6Jw Best regards, benzac13KViews0likes1CommentWix Dropbox App going end of life?
Good afternoon, It would appear that Wix has chosen to drop the Dropbox App that allows visibility/access to specific Dropbox folders directly from a Wix site. Are there any alternatives that anyone is aware of that could support a real-time peering between a Wix website and a specific Dropbox folder to upload and download files? I have tried Zappier and other automations for exporting folders, subfolders, and even the files names to an excel spreadsheet to create an index or guide, even with the link for an easier access. Can anyone share a way to do such export or copy paste hack?1.3KViews1like4CommentsDownload Dropbox backup folder to synology
Dropbox backup keeps giving me an error that there are too many zip files when I u to download my root folder. It is a backup of an external hdd which was physically damaged. Since I cannot download the root with the web ui, could I use synology or another app to download the entire Dropbox backup folder with an app instead of a web browser?990Views0likes5CommentsYou can back your WordPress website or blog with Dropbox
I'm a blogger, and I just recently started posting a lot of content on my blog. I've had bad experiences with WordPress relating to loss of data. Most times there used to be an error with WordPress updates, bad plugins, etc. So I installed a plugin on my WordPress dashboard that was supposed to help me backup my WordPress site. I was surprised to see an option that helped me back up my site to Dropbox automatically, even if I lost my data on WordPress, I could easily retrieve it from Dropbox đ3.5KViews1like5CommentsUsing the Dropbox & HelloSign integration
Making sure your tools are all connected and working as well as they can be is key to a good workflow. First of all, is HelloSign included with Dropbox? Yes! So letâs look at how you can connect Dropbox and HelloSign to get the most out of both. Connect Dropbox and HelloSign When you send for a signature through Dropbox, youâll be prompted to connect your Dropbox and HelloSign accounts and accept the terms of service. If you donât already have a HelloSign account, a free account will be created with the email address you use for Dropbox. If you already have a HelloSign account with the same email address as your Dropbox account, the accounts will be connected. After your accounts are connected, youâll also be able to sign in to HelloSign.com by clicking Sign in with Dropbox. What can I do with HelloSign and Dropbox? Once youâre all connected, you can start sharing files for people to sign. You can read all about how to do that right over here. You can also learn how to cancel a signature request, and how to sign a document yourself. Once your signed files are complete, you and all signers will receive email confirmations. Your signed files automatically save to your Dropbox account, in the location you chose for that file and in your connected HelloSign account. If you delete a signed file from either Dropbox or HelloSign, itâll still be saved on the other platform, so you always have a back up copy. If you delete the file from both, then it cannot be retrieved. What if someone hasnât signed their form yet? Donât worry, you donât have to wait until someone signs a document to have it saved to your Dropbox account. While a file is waiting to get signed, an in-progress PDF version of the file is saved in the location in your Dropbox account you chose named â[file name] (in-progress).pdfâ. Once the file is signed, that file is replaced with a new, signed PDF file named â[file name] (signed).pdfâ. Start to finish, you have a record and a copy in your Dropbox account too. What else should I know about the HelloSign and Dropbox integration? If the HelloSign account you connected to Dropbox is on the limited free plan (which is the default plan), you can make three document transactions per month. You can track and manage your HelloSign signature requests directly from Dropbox. To get started, sign in to the HelloSign for Dropbox dashboard and: Find the file(s) you need by using the Search bar at the top. Click the Request signature button to request a signature. Youâll also get Dropbox and email notifications as your requests progress. Signed files take up space in your Dropbox account. If you run out of space in your Dropbox account while a file is in progress (waiting on a signature), youâll see an error message and the signed version of the file will only save on HelloSign.com and not in Dropbox. Have you connected your Dropbox and HelloSign accounts yet? Tell us how you use HelloSign in the comments below!3.4KViews0likes2Comments
